Formula Bar Buttons

Dive deeper into the formula bar’s many options.

Once you’ve built out a row’s formula you have quite a few options to choose from via the buttons above the formula bar.

Please note that our application is currently in Beta, so features are subject to change as we continue to build incredible tools for you!

Button Breakdown

  1. Metric Name - Type in a new name for your row and hit “enter” to save.
  1. Tags - Add or remove tags from your row.
  1. Formatting - Format your data as a number, currency, or percentage.
  1. Visually Decrease Decimal Places - Moves the visual rounding for your number one decimal place to the left. If you would like to round the stored data in a row make sure to use one of the rounding functions.
  1. Visually Increase Decimal Places - Moves the visual rounding for your number one decimal place to the right. If you would like to round the stored data in a row make sure to use one of the rounding functions.
  1. Visual Rounding Mode - Allows you to adjust how a row rounds its numbers. If you would like to round the data in a row make sure to use one of the rounding functions.
  1. Minimum Value - Sets a minimum value that your metric can’t go lower than.
  1. Maximum Value - Sets a maximum value that your metric can’t go higher than.
  1. Start Date - Sets a start date for your row.
  1. End Date - Sets an end date for your row.
  1. Summary Columns - Sets how your quarterly or annual values are calculated for a row.
    1. Sum Range - sums all values in the time period.
    2. Average Range - averages all values in the time period.
    3. Last Month - displays only the last month’s value in the time period.
    4. First Month - displays only the first month’s value in the time period.
    5. Calculate with Formula - uses the row’s main formula and will reference the quarterly/annual values of any rows mentioned in the formula.
  1. Variance - adjust how variance is displayed for your metric’s forecast vs actuals.
  1. Auto-calculate Actuals - adjusts how rows not mapped by an integration will interact with actuals data in the model.
  1. Clone - makes a copy of your row.
  1. Delete - deletes your row.
